What is CTPAT?

CTPAT is a part of the US Customs & Border Protection partnership program.

The intent is to improve security through all stages of the supply chain, from manufacturer, supplier, shipper to vendor.

When a business joins CTPAT an agreement is made to work with CBP to protect the supply chain, identify security gaps and risks, and to implement security measures and best practices.

Applicants must address a broad range of security topics and have a security profile that lists action plans to secure the integrity of the supply chain.

Participation in the CTPAT program is voluntary.
