On April 26, 2007, my big sister, Hazel Joy Coburn,
was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery in Georgetown A very
moving service was conducted by Reverend Paul Ivany. Our families
were supported by hundreds of friends and fellow employees. On
behalf of Hazel’s husband, Mike and their three daughters, Heather,
Lisa and Jamie; and of course my Dad and I, along with our extended
families, we thank you for the beautiful flowers, thoughtful cards,
your expressions of sympathy, and your memorial donations to the
Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and other charitable
organizations. Your gestures and support have touched our hearts
and will always be remembered. We’re now at the starting line for
building memories of my big sister, “Haz”.
