online, the 825-megawatt advanced clean-coal unit will allow Duke
Energy to retire Units 1 to 4 and help make Unit 6 carbon neutral

received a final revised air permit for the new, state-of-the-art
Cliffside Unit 6 from the North Carolina Department of Environment
and Natural Resources, Division of Air Quality. The permit
designates that the unit is a minor source of hazardous air
