My father and his brother, Douglas Wordsworth, along
with my Grandpa, spent Saturdays at the Woolwich Arsenal watching
football/soccer every week. Of course, they would go to the pub
after the game and have a few pints. I didn’t have a chance to meet
Douglas as he went off to the Second World War and never returned.
My Grandpa was a great dude. He loved his jelly beans, favourite
beverages and “Navy cuts”. And we all knew that every Sunday he
watched wrestling and was not to be interrupted! Of course, he knew
nothing about Y Strainers, Basket Strainers and Sanitary Strainers!
He did his patriotic duty and defended his country of England. To
all who have defended our countries – Thank You. And now I think
