I came across this photograph on the weekend. It’s a
picture of Mike Robinson and myself at an old fashioned barbecue in
Mobile, Alabama about 10 years ago. We lost Mike to cancer on
September 11, 2004. Mike was our Check Valve specialist. He worked
with Wafer, or Double Door Checks, for almost 30 years. We
nicknamed him “Rat Boy” because Mike was, I would guess, 5 feet; 4
inches tall and used to run through the facility checking
dimensions or Check Valve Springs. In fact, we named our new
warehouse addition “Rat Boy Alley” in his memory. We miss Mike,
both as an employee and even more so, as a friend.
