Well, we had a great weekend at the Windermere Good As
Gold Open Golf Tournament Fundraiser held at the Windermere House
Resort in Northern Ontario. The weather couldn’t have been better.
My wife, Janet, and I were honoured to play with Cassie Campbell,
Team Captain of the Canadian Women’s Olympic Hockey Team. Cassie
has played hockey since she was seven years old and – Wow! –
outside of being a tremendous hockey player — can she hit a golf
ball! We were also accompanied by our close friends, Robina and
Mark Teed. The event was very successful as we raised funds for the
whole Canadian Women’s Olympic Hockey Team. It was a relaxing
weekend for our “gold champs” and it was a simple reward for their
dedication, rigorous training, schooling and family sacrifices.
We’ll do it again next year!
