My blog of May 16, 2011 discussed our “Strainer
Solution” designed for the manufacturing of two custom fabricated
Dual Basket Strainers destined for Mongolia. Well, here we are just
prior to shipping with one 14-inch DBH150 and one 20-inch DBH150 in
Hydrostatic testing mode. These two strainer units weigh
approximately 22,000 lb. combined. “Yes”. We can handle it. A chart
recorder was installed to capture the Hydrostatic testing results.
This data will be available for computerized downloading to provide
a permanent record of the testing! In reality, this technology
precludes the requirement for an inspector’s presence to witness
the testing. If you think about it, between our PMI (Positive
Material Identification) Thermo Scientific Handheld Analyzer and
the Chart Recorder (Digital Test Gauge c/w Data Logging) we can
provide all test data in-house to expedite delivery. Another
