Well, on February 22, 2008, we attended Ski Day at
Craigleith Ski Club in Collingwood, Ontario. The weather was
perfect and skiing couldn’t have been better. In the photo, from
left to right: Peter Luchowski, Joe Lawrence, John Zuber, Greg
Brownstein, myself (nickname “Woody”), Cliff Davis and Dan Miles.
All had a grand day. Enjoyed the spirits and had some awesome
oysters from Jake’s Grill & Oyster House in Burlington, Ontario
www.jakesgrill.ca We relaxed and it was great to get away for a
break. Yes, we talked about business. How we can do things better,
plus improving communications. As your business grows you sometimes
lose the “floor contact”. We chatted about our ISO 9001:2000 and
ASME Audits; both coming up for recertification audits this summer.
Always doing things better and smarter – “Change is Good”. I have
skied in the Collingwood, or Blue Mountain, area for close to two
decades. I am very proud that my staff contributed $3,000.00
towards this very worthy fundraiser for the Collingwood General and
Marine Hospital; our local hospital whose dedicated staff attend to
various sports injuries – more so on the weekends. Needless to say,
we had a lot of responsible fun and will repeat our annual “Ski
Day” next year. Thanks to the staff at “The Beaver and Bulldog” for
our Friday night outing!
