Sure Flow had this in mind when we designed our
Automatic Strainer with compact Skid package. The priority to make
quality and economy inherent in the assembly is Sure Flow’s
commitment to meet our customers’ growing needs. Our Automatic
Strainers require a control system to provide flexibility and
optimize performance of the straining operation. A number of
standard options are available or a custom designed control system
may be specified that is always meticulously manufactured with
quality in mind. Sure Flow Automatic Self Cleaning Strainers will
continue this important tradition of providing consistent and
trouble free service. They are designed and constructed to be in
compliance with ANSI, ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and CSA and are
available in various materials such as Cast Iron, Carbon Steel and
Stainless Steel. Strainer Design/ Operation The Control System is
specifically designed to monitor and operate the backwash cleaning
of the Automatic Strainers. They are simple to operate, reliable
and easily maintained. The design allows field adjustments to suit
the demands of the service conditions, ensuring effective cleaning
with minimum use of backwash fluid. A backwash valve, either
electrically or pneumatically operated is required on the backwash
line. A differential pressure switch that is fully adjustable is
furnished to detect the increase of pressure across the strainer.
It will activate a backwash cycle that is independent of the time
controlled sequence. A control panel, containing all necessary
relays, timers, lights, switches, etc. is provided. This will
initiate and monitor the intermittent backwash cycles and is
available in NEMA 4 or optional NEMA 4X. An electric motor and gear
box are furnished as part of the strainer. The standard TEFC motor
is 120Volt /1Ph/60Hz or Three Phase at customer option. Remember to
