The bright red Custom Engineered Fabricated Basket
Strainers pictured here range in size from 12″ through 24″, are
rubber lined and have a special three-coat enamel external coating
for protection against saltwater elements. They are destined for a
U.S. military facility in Okinawa, Japan for use on a seawater
intake system supplying water to the base systems. When a cast
strainer won’t meet the application’s requirements, the Sure Flow

Fabricated Strainer to meet your exact requirements. Sure Flow

specific application. Our Basket Strainers can be designed and
constructed to be in compliance with ANSI, ASME, CSA, PED and are
available in various materials such as Carbon Steel, Stainless
Steel or special alloys. Strainer Design: Sure Flow offers numerous
quick-opening covers which conform to ASME Boiler and Pressure
Vessel Code as well as ASME B31.1, B31.3 and B31.4. They feature a
Davit assembly which facilitates cover removal: the cover simply
lifts and swings for easy maintenance access. Screen sizes can be
tailored to hold sufficient solids and are available in various
materials such as Stainless Steel, Monel or special high alloys.
Various pressure classes are available. Flange sizes can be chosen
to fit existing piping, including DIN or JIS flanges. Additional
optional features include Legs, Side Drain, Automatic Air Vent,
Rubber Lining, Special Internal/External Coating, Automatic Blow
Down Valves and Pressure Gauges or Differential Pressure Switches
that are fully adjustable to detect the increase of pressure across
